Why You Should Consider Tree Removal When Moving Into A New Property

Johnni Knight

While you may have picked a very picturesque and beautiful new home to live in, once you have settled in you may want to consider making some adjustments to the garden surrounding you. No doubt you have some personal preferences that you want to implement, but there are also some more practical considerations you need to take into account. Tree removal is one of those needs that you just don't really think about until it is too late, which is why a fresh start is a good time to make sure you take care of this issue right away. Here are three reasons why you should consider tree removal as soon as you move into a new place.

Pose A Threat To Your Utilities

A lot of homes have buried cables, sewer pipes, and even gas lines that can be interfered with by trees that are too close to them. The roots will often stretch out and begin constricting these utilities, eventually breaking them down and potentially causing thousands of dollars in damages. If you have trees in the path of these subterranean lines then you might want to take some pragmatic moves and have them removed so that they cannot bother you in the future.

Too Close To The House

Apart from just being a threat underneath the ground, trees can clearly pose a threat above ground too. If they are within a couple of yards of your home, as many are, they can pose a serious risk in the event of a large storm. The storm doesn't even need to blow over the whole tree, just dislodge a couple of large branches. The risk is simply too great to allow a tree of any real size to exist within falling distance of your home, especially if you have a young family inside.

Utilize The Space Better

Sometimes trees are just awkwardly placed in your yard and can constrain what you can do. For example, if you have a large and fairly open yard just with a few trees dotted around the place then you could remove them and make it much easier for your children to play sports such as baseball, tennis, badminton, soccer, and so on. If the trees are mostly by themselves and on the border of your property then this is not an issue, but if you want to have an active lifestyle and a tree is bothering you or stopping you from putting in a larger pool, then call up a professional who can handle it.
